The new mission of the Holston Heritage Conference, in Jonesborough began January 1, 2009.
 The cross speaks for itself. The blackness of the cross represents our sin that has been taken to the cross. The design around the cross has two colors. The red represents the blood of Christ. The blue represents the hope we receive as children of God. The shape of the design around the cross could represent the hands of God and God's grace. It could also represent the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, it is shaped similar to that of a chalice or a baptismal font.
Claimed by God's grace for the sake of the world, we are a new creation through God's living Word by the power of the Holy Spirit; Gathered by God's grace for the sake of the world, we will live among God's faithful people, hear God's Word, and share Christ's supper, Sent by God's grace for the sake of the world, we will proclaim the good news of God in Christ through word and deed, serve all people following the example of our Lord Jesus, and strive for justice and peace in all the world
